Los Angeles Dodgers left-hander Clayton Kershaw won his 19th game of the season last night, but was gone in the sixth inning.

Kershaw was ejected after hitting Gerardo Parra in the elbow.  The night before, Parra stood and admired a game-tying home run in the seventh inning.  Dodgers' catcher A. J. Ellis had words with Parra as he crossed home plate.

No warnings had been issued during the game.  Dodgers' manager Don Mattingly was also ejected.

Kershaw's 19th win is the most by a Dodgers pitcher since 1990 when Ramon Martinez was a 20 game winner.

Kershaw also leads the National League in strikeouts.
