New Orleans Saints safety Kenny Vacarro is in the midst of his most productive NFL season.

In his 4th year out of Texas, Vacarro has played the majority of defensive snaps this year, is 2nd on the team in tackles and tied for 1st in interceptions.

Now his season is done.

Coach Sean Payton confirmed today Vacarro will drop his appeal of a 4-game suspension handed down by the NFL after he tested positive for a PED (reportedly adderall).

With the Saints playoff hopes all but dead, Vacarro will sit out the 4 games now, rather than risk being suspended for the first 4 games of 2017.

Veteran Roman Harper will likely pick up most of Vacarro's snaps the next 4 weeks, joining veteran Jairus Byrd and rookie Vonn Bell on the field for the 3 safety package defense coordinator Dennis Allen often uses.
