Louisiana Ragin’ Cajun senior guard Keke Veal continues to climb up the all-time school statistical charts, with still nine more regular season games, followed by the postseason, remaining.

A native of Opelousas, Veal, who attended St. Thomas More High School, has been a four-year starter for coach Garry Brodhead’s program.

In terms of points scored, Veal has poured in 1,372 career points, which ranks her third on the all-time scoring list.

Veal used a 27-point effort against Appalachian St. on Thursday night to push her way up the list.

The late, great, Kim Perrot ranks first on the list, with 2,157 career points, followed by Lisa Merritt, who ranks second, with 1,747 points.

In the assists department, Veal currently ranks 9th in school history in assists, with 242, just 3 behind Merritt, and 21 behind Alicia McDaniel.

Barring injury, Veal should finish her career in the top 7 in career assists.

In career steals, with 231, Veal currently ranks second, 10 in front of teammate Kia Wilridge, and 20 behind Merritt, who is next on the list.
