BEREA, Ohio (AP) — Justin Gilbert will always be the other guy, the player the Browns drafted ahead of Johnny Manziel. And to Gilbert, that's just fine.

The No. 8 overall pick, Gilbert may be closer to a starting job than his more famous teammate. He's currently working with Cleveland's second-team defense, but the young cornerback has his eyes on moving quickly up the depth chart.

Gilbert has flashed his speed and ball-hawking skills already this spring, and on Wednesday he darted in front of a wide receiver to bat down a pass by Manziel.

Gilbert said he should have intercepted Manziel's throw and told the QB, 'You're welcome' when he went to the sideline.

While Manziel is flashy, Gilbert prefers to be low-key and out of the spotlight "off the field."
