Washington Redskins defensive end Junior Galette tore his achilles and will miss the entire 2016 season. Galette revealed the news on his twitter account.

He signed another one-year deal with the Redskins in hopes he could see the field in a regular season game for the first time as a Redskin.

The Saints once viewed Galette as a big piece of their franchise, signing him to a 4 year extension worth $41.5 million and $23 million guaranteed back in September of 2014. He was also voted a team captain. Despite a 10 sack season in 2014, Galette had a number of behavioral issues which eventually led to his release.

He will count $12.1 million in dead money against the Saints salary cap this season.

Galette went on a classless twitter tirade last year when New Orleans released him following a string of off field incidents.
