The 2013 season has not gone well for Tampa Bay Buccaneers starting quarterback Josh Freeman. In addition to beginning the season 0-2, Freeman was voted out of the team's captaincy by his teammates, after wearing the C on his jersey the previous 3 seasons.

Various reports suggested Freeman's relationship with Tampa Bay head coach Greg Schiano has grown sour. Schiano told the media that Freeman overslept and missed a team meeting. To make matters worse, according to the Tamp Bay Times, Freeman also missed the Buccaneers annual team photo. All of this led to speculation that turmoil was brewing in the Bucs locker room.

According to Jason La Canfora of cbssports.com, Freeman is likely to ask for a trade soon. Tampa Bay drafted quarterback Mike Glennon in the third round of the 2013 draft. In the final year of his contract, Freeman would rather be somewhere playing than potentially being benched for a rookie quarterback.

In the first two weeks of the season, Freeman hasn't been spectacular, but certainly can't be blamed for Tampa's 0-2 start. The Buccaneer defense has given up two game-losing drives to the New York Jets and New Orleans Saints. As a result, the Bucs have lost their first two games of 2013 on the final play of the game.
