The Houston Astros defeated the Los Angeles Angels, 8-3, on Tuesday evening, and in that game, second baseman Jose Altuve went 4-for-5, collecting a home run, two RBI's, two runs scored, and his 50th stolen base of the year.

For the year, Altuve now has 193 hits, 37 doubles, and 50 stolen bases, making him a serious threat to finish the year with 200 hits, 40 doubles and 50 steals.

How special would that be? Well, in the modern era, there have been only five players to accomplish that feat: Ty Cobb (1911 & 1917); Tris Speaker (1912); George Sisler (1922); Craig Biggio (1998) and Hanley Ramirez (2007).

Federal Leaguer Benny Kauff did it back in 1914.
