Former Louisiana Ragin' Cajun baseball standout Jonathan Lucroy is having a good year, both at the plate and behind it in 2018.

On Tuesday, Lucroy, currently a member of the Oakland A's, delivered a perfect throw to second base to throw out Manuel Margot, of the San Diego Padres, who was attempting to steal, which you can view here.

With that throw out of Margot, Lucroy has now thrown out 16 of 41 base stealers this season, a mark of 28.1%, which ranks in the top ten (tied 8th) among qualified catchers.

By comparison; last season, Lucroy threw out base stealers at a 26.7% clip.

On day earlier, Lucroy lined a single to right, to drive in a run:

Currently, Lucroy is hitting a .259. to go along with one homer and 24 runs batted in.

Lucroy has also been a nice veteran presence for the A's this season, helping them to a surprising 48-39 record.

Sure, Lucroy would like to be hitting for more power, but halfway through the season, it is safe to say that he has had a solid campaign.
