The NFL named Jenkins the NFC Defensive Player of the Week, on Wednesday.

Jenkins had two interceptions against St. Louis Rams, in the Saints' 31-13 victory, last Sunday, at the Louisiana Superdome.

Jenkins returned one interception 96 yards for a touchdown, which is the third longest in team history.

He had another interception which prevented a potential Rams score, for his first two interception of the season

It's the second time in three weeks that Jenkins, a second-year player from Ohio State, has won the award.
