Jenkins Named NFC Defensive Player Of The Week

New Orleans Saints safety Malcolm Jenkins has been named the NFC Defensive Player of the Week.

The NFL named Jenkins the NFC Defensive Player of the Week, on Wednesday.

Jenkins had two interceptions against St. Louis Rams, in the Saints' 31-13 victory, last Sunday, at the Louisiana Superdome.

Jenkins returned one interception 96 yards for a touchdown, which is the third longest in team history.

He had another interception which prevented a potential Rams score, for his first two interception of the season

It's the second time in three weeks that Jenkins, a second-year player from Ohio State, has won the award.
