Louisiana Ragin' Cajun guard Jaylyn Gordon continues to lead the Sun Belt Conference in scoring, as women's basketball enters it's second week of league action.

Gordon, a senior from West St. John High School out of Edgard, Louisiana, is averaging 18.9 points-per-game over 11 games, which leads the conference.

Rebekah VanDijk of UTA is currently second, at 16.6.

Gordon's teammate, junior Simone Fields is currently third in scoring, averaging 15.6 points a contest, while Appalachian St.'s Joi Jones (14.9) and Coastal Carolina's Rachael Gregory (14.7) round out the top five.

Gordon, who has compiled 1,186 career points, also leads the league in three-point shots made per game, averaging 2.6.

The Cajuns, as a team, rank second in the conference in scoring, averaging 71.8 points-per-game, behind Troy, who is averaging just over 87.

Louisiana, who is currently 7-4, overall, and 1-1 in Sun Belt Conference play, opens up a three-game homestand on Saturday, when they play host to the ULM Warhawks at the Cajundome.
