Javonne Lowery Commits To UL Basketball

A Texas prep basketball standout recently gave a verbal commitment to the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns.

The Advertiser's Tim Buckley alerted us to the commitment:

The 6-foot-4 Lowery will graduate in 2019, and will be eligible to play for Louisiana next season.

Lowery, who is regarded as an outstanding defensive player, averaged 14.2 points, to go along with 5.4 rebounds and 1.7 assists-per game as a junior, while shooting 44% from the field, including 32% from three-point range.
