Jared Barnes' slow roller off the third base bag drove in the go-ahead run and South Alabama scored twice in the eighth inning to beat Louisiana 4-3 for their ninth straight conference win.

With one out, Bud Collura singled off Cajuns' reliever WIll Bacon (3-2.)  Adam Ballew reached on catcher's interference and Matt Bolger sngled to load the bases.  Bacon struck out Cole Gleason and went 0-2 to Bryant before his roller down the third base line broke the tie.  Daniel Martnez then walked to give South Alabama a two run lead.

The Cajuns (30-19, 14-11 Sun Belt) tried to rally in the ninth off South Alabama relief specialist Ben Taylor (6-1) as Blake Trahan singled with one out.  Kyle Clement was hit by a pitch and Stefan Trosclair walked to load the bases.  Tyler Girouard hit a sacrifice fly to score Trahan and send Clement to third  Trosclair stole second but Greg Davis flied to right to end the game.

But the Jaguars (34-17, 19-7) came right back in the sixth as Ben Gann doubled to right center with one out.  Collura singled and Gann scored on Adam Ballew's single.  Ballew took off for second and Collura broke for the plate when catcher Nick Thurman threw the ball.  But the throw was right back to Guillory and Ballew was tagged out after a rundown and the Jags had to settle for one run

South Alabama took the lead in the seventh when Barnes singled up the middle with one out.  Martinez, batting for Garrett DeGallier, singled and Barnes scored on a sacrifice fly by Ryan Raspino.

The Cajuns tied the game in the bottom of the inning when Clement doubled with one out off Jaguars' reliever Cody Van Aken.  Trosclair singled him to third and stole second.  Girouard walked against reliever Shane McKinney to load the bases and Greg Davis got down a squeeze bunt against Taylor with the runners in motion to score Clement.  The Cajuns tried to get two runs on the bunt, but Trosclair was thrown out at the plate.

Bembnowski pitched the first six innings for USA, allowing six hits with two walks and four strikeouts.
