With the Pac-12 deciding to stay at twelve teams for the foreseeable future, it is believed the Big 12 Conference will stick together.

But will Dan Beebe still be their commissioner?

It's no secret Beebe is not popular among several schools in the Big 12.  Sources at Oklahoma have specifically stated the conference needs an "interim" commissioner.

Beebe was at the helm when Nebraska and Colorado decided to bolt from the Big 12, and was praised in some circles for keeping Texas, Texas A&M, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State from bolting to the Pac-10 (now Pac-12) a year ago.

But with Texas A&M's imminent departure from the league and another near-miss at implosion, there are some who are ready to say "enough is enough" as far as leadership of the league is concerned.

Beebe received a contract extension in November of last year.  His contract now runs through 2015.  At over $900,000 a year, that would be a pretty hefty buyout.
