Earlier this week, groundhog day unfolded when Punxsutawney Phil did not see his shadow. Early spring predictions followed.

What the national media missed was a local "groundhog day" esque story here in cajun country.

Did Bernie Lee of KPEL-FM see her shadow?

My radio brethren and I gathered on the back patio at 1749 Bertrand Dr. to see if Bernie would see her shadow.

What if she does? A longer Mardi Gras! Better traffic in Lafayette! Jay Walker will actually lower the toilet seat after he pees!  There's a lot riding on this. Let's watch it unfold.
