Louisiana left-hander Taylor Hubbell has been named Sun Belt Conference pitcher of the week.

It should come as no surprise, as the senior co-captain was scintillating in two performances last week.  He threw 8.2 innings of relief on Tuesday against Nicholls State, allowing  just one run.  He followed that up with a seven hit complete game shutout on Sunday over Siena.  Hubbell allowed the leadoff man to reach base only once on Sunday.  He worked out of a bases-loaded, no outs jam in that game, recording two strikeouts and a flyout to get out of trouble.

For the week, Hubbell recorded an 0,51 ERA while striking out nine in 17.2 innings of work.  He was credited with the win in both appearances.
