Watching NFL games on Sunday, you might think the receivers have super powers with all the crazy catches...but how much help are the gloves?

ESPN's Rick Reilly investigated just how much the new technology aids modern day receivers, and he even took the sticky gloves around town to test their powers. Former LSU Wide Receiver and current Miami Dolphin Jarvis Landry admits that nothing makes for one-handers like a new pair of gloves, but he also said they're just an accessory. How much did they help out the average Joe's of the world?

Reilly puts a new pair of gloves on a high school team, who says their record on the year was 2-7...and they put on a show. One young athlete caught six one-handers in a row. Still think the gloves are just icing on the cake?

Things start to get funny as regular citizens around Miami put on new, sticky gloves to snag some catches on the streets. One man even rolls a nice, tight cigar with them.

If you still doubt the wonders of technology, check out the video for yourself. As somebody who played wide receiver I will admit, those gloves were a hair short of pure magic...and it's not like I was even playing recently. These NFL receivers are still incredible athletes and outstanding acrobats, but don't act like these fly traps don't help.
