(AP) — It hasn't been the greatest weekend for the last-place Houston Astros. On Friday night, they lost despite rookie outfielder Brandon Barnes hitting for the cycle.

On Saturday night, the Astros lost despite four of their pitchers throwing a combined one-hitter. And it wasn't really even that close. The Seattle Mariners used that one hit to beat Houston 4-2. Michael Saunders got Seattle's only hit with a two RBI double with two outs in the seventh inning.

Astros starter Erik Bedard pitched 6 1-3 innings of no-hit ball before he was replaced by Jose Cisnero, who walked Mike Zunino with two outs before the double by Saunders put Seattle ahead 4-2. Bedard walked five and struck out 10 and wound up the losing pitcher to fall to 3-7. The loss dropped Houston to 33-63.
