Hornets Will Officially Announce Name Change To Pelicans On Thursday, Logo To Be Unveiled

While the New Orleans Hornets battle the Spurs in San Antonio tonight, the last thing on their mind will be pelicans. However, Hornets fans will all have pelicans on their mind from tonight until tomorrow when the team unveils their future name and logo…the Pelicans!

Marc J. Spears of Yahoo! sports reported earlier today that the announcement will come tomorrow. A color scheme of blue, red, and gold will also be revealed.

Contrary to reports that it may take two years, the New Orleans Hornets will become the New Orleans Pelicans next season.
