The New Orleans Hornets put together one of their most impressive performances of the season Wednesday night in Oakland, whipping the Golden State Warriors 102-87.

As a former first round pick by the Warriors, Hornets shooting guard Marco Belinelli appeared to feel comfortable in his old stomping grounds. He led New Orleans in scoring with 22 points and dished out 6 assists to go with his 3 steals.

Point guard Jarrett Jack (pictured left) added 20 points and 9 assists, while Carl Landry scored 20 and pulled down 8 boards.

Making the win even more impressive was the absence of several players on the Hornets roster. While they've grown accustomed to playing without the likes of Eric Gordon and Emeka Okafor, New Orleans was without 3 starters. Chris Kaman (illness), Gustavo Ayon (personal reasons), and Trevor Ariza (sore right ankle) all sat out for the fleur-de-bees.

David Lee scored 28 for Golden State, but no other Warrior had much success against the Hornets defense.

New Orleans must turn around and get ready to go tonight for the second game of a road back-to-back. They take on the Portland Trail Blazers. Tip-off is set for 9:00.
