New Orleans Hornets starting Point Guard Jarrett Jack scored a game-high 27 points on Monday night in Utah. He also chipped in 11 assists for a double-double. But it was his costly turnover with less than a minute to play that helped the Jazz escape with a 94-90 victory.

Starting small forward Trevor Ariza pulled his groin early in the 3rd quarter and did not return. The Hornets are already playing without starting shooting guard Eric Gordon who missed his 4th straight game with a bruised knee.

Backup power forward Jason Smith (pictured left) had a nice game for the fleur-de-bees. He finished with 16 points and 8 rebounds off the bench. With Ariza injured, Al-Farouq Aminu saw his most action in a Hornet uniform, scoring 11 points in nearly 29 minutes on the floor.

The Hornets return to New Orleans for a 2 game stretch. They will host the Denver Nuggets at the Hive this Wedneday with a 7:00 tip-off.
