The New Orleans Hornets losing streak grew to 9 Wednesday night after they fell on the road to the Oklahoma City Thunder by the score of 101-91. Even in defeat, Hornets point guard Jarrett Jack continued his impressive offensive play, finishing with 20 points in his 30 minutes on the floor.

The Hornets bench had one of their best outings of the season. Rookie big man Gustavo Ayon continues to impress in limited action. In 16 minutes, he made 8 of 10 shots to finish with 16 points. He also showed off some nifty passing with 3 assists.

New Orleans shooting guard Xavier Henry made his Hornet debut, playing 11 minutes. He looked rusty from the field, finishing with only 3 points. However, he threw down an alley-oop and showed Hornet fans his athleticism and speed off the bench.

Carl Landry chipped in 15 points, going a perfect 11-11 from the charity stripe.

All in all, the Hornet bench scored 49 points, and brought efficient energy to help keep the fleur-de-bees in the game until late in the 4th quarter.

Monty Williams' team will try to stop the bleeding this Friday as they return home for a battle with the Orlando Magic. Tip-off is set for 7:00.
