Despite the absence of 3 rotation players, the New Orleans Hornets snapped their 6 game skid on Monday night with a rousing victory over the Denver Nuggets by the score of 94-81.

Carl Landry led the way in scoring for the fleur-de-bees with 21. Chris Kaman (pictured left), starting his 3rd straight game, had his most complete performance in a Hornet uniform. 7 rebounds, a block, and 20 points on 10-16 shooting from the field was indicative of what the one-time All-Star is capable of.

Marco Belinelli, who was averaging 7 points per game, scored 19, including a 3-4 performance from behind the arc. Jarrett Jack was questionable for the game with an injury to his left leg, but ended up playing 35 minutes. Coach Monty Williams was happy he did, because Jack finished with 13 points, 9 assists, 2 rebounds, and 1 steal.

Overall, it was the defense that led the way for New Orleans. Denver shot 39% from the field and were outrebounded 40-35. The Hornets also finished with 7 more assists, thanks in large part to their terrific ball movement.

The Hornets will return to the Crescent City for a Wednesday night matchup with the Oklahoma City Thunder. Tip-off at the Hive is set for 7:00.
