Desperate for outside shooting, the New Orleans Hornets made a trade today to acquire second year shooting guard Xavier Henry (pictured left)from the Memphis Grizzlies.

The Philadelphia 76ers were the third team involved in the trade, sending big man Marreese Speights to Memphis in exchange for two second round draft picks. Philly receives the Grizzlies second round pick in the 2012 draft, and the Hornets second rounder in 2013.

Henry, a 20 year old sharp shooting two guard out of Kansas, was taken 12th overall in the 2010 NBA draft. He has missed the start of this season due to torn ligaments in his right ankle. Xavier is expected to be in NOLA for tonight's game against the 76ers, but will not be available to play. Tip-off tonight at the Hive is set for 7:00.
