Louisiana's Ragin' Cajun baseball team mercy run ruled the South Alabama Jaguars today 12-2 in 7 innings. With the win, the Cajuns improve to 41-17, and will play FAU for the Sun Belt Conference tournament championship tomorrow.

For one of the best hitting teams in the Nation, the Cajuns power behind the plate was on full display. Louisiana put up as many hits as they did runs.

Dex Kjerstad began the game with a leadoff single in the top of first. It was the first of 12 hits by Louisiana, and the first of 3 for Kjerstad. Dex led all hitters with 3, while Chase Compton, Michael Strentz, and Blake Trahan all hit 2.

Louisiana ripped 4 doubles, and 1 home run (Seth Harrison).

South Alabama struggled in the field, committing 4 errors, and hitting 3 batters. While the Jaguars threw 4 arms, the Cajuns only needed one.

Ryan Wilson, aka "Scoob", worked 7 complete innings, fanning 6 batters, only allowing 4 hits and 2 earned runs. Wilson's complete game marks the second straight day Louisiana didn't have to use their bullpen. Austin Robichaux threw a complete game gem yesterday against South Alabama.
