Things aren't going very well for Josh Hamilton right now.

The Texas Rangers' slugger, who got off to one of the most amazing starts ever this season, was not in the Rangers' lineup for Saturday's game against the White Sox.

Rangers manager Ron Washington did not tell Hamilton in advance he would not be in the lineup because he didn't want Hamilton to try to talk him out of it.

The move came one day after some fans booed Hamilton after he struck out on three pitches in the fifth inning.

Hamilton is hitting just .145 with three homers and 10 rbi in July.  He has six walks and 20 strikeouts during that period.
