The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns softball team moved closer to clinching the regular season Sun Belt title by taking a pair of games from UT Arlington, 7-0 and 13-0 to move to 37-7-1 on the season and 15-1 in Sun Belt play. The Cajuns are 29-2 in their last 31 games.

In game one,Gabby Felps had three hits, while Natalie Fernandez, Shellie Landry and Samantha Walsh had two each to lead an eleven hit attack.  Lexie Elkins homered for the Cajuns.

Christina Hamilton, meanwhile, posted a two hit shutout to run her record to 20-1 on the year.  She walked two, struck out two and hit two batters, needing just 88 pitches to record the shutout.

In game two the Cajuns pounded out 15 hits in the five inning affair, with Hayley Hayden leading the way with three hits.Shelbi Redfearn, Walsh, Felps and Fernandez all added two hits each, while Elkins hit a three run double in the Cajuns' five run third inning.

Victoria Brown (4-1) gave up two hits in the fifth inning but got the shutout.  She did not walk a batter and struck out five.

The Cajuns will go for the three game sweep tomorrow at 1pm.  A win would clinch the regular season title for the Cajuns.
