After losing their postseason opener to the Denver Nuggets on a buzzer beater Saturday, the Golden State Warriors fortunes continued downward. All-Star David Lee has been ruled OUT for the postseason after tearing his right hip flexor in the loss.

Lee, who led the NBA in double-doubles this season with 56, was visibly upset by the news.

"I knew last night when I did it," Lee was quoted as saying in an espn article. "I felt it pop. So I knew we were going to get the results we did this morning. I went to run back on defense and had absolutely no sensation in my leg. It wasn't even painful as much as it was just [numb]."

Carl Landry will likely replace Lee in the starting lineup. Golden State trails Denver 1-0 in the best-of-seven series. Lee will be on the bench in street clothes for Game 2 on Tuesday night in the Mile High city.
