Fuselier Comes to Terms with Pittsburgh Pirates

UL outfielder Alex Fuselier will not be returning for his senior season.
It was announced today on ragincajuns.com that Fuselier has come to terms with the Pittsburgh Pirates, the team that drafted him in the 21st round last week.
Fuselier’s decision will leave a major hole in the Cajuns’ lineup. Fuselier, who hit leadoff for the Cajuns was scheduled to be the only returning starting outfielder. It was projected he would hit in the middle of the lineup for the Cajuns next season.
Fuselier’s decision means the Cajuns will go into the fall with Daniel Nichols, Brian Bowman and Dominick Francia as the only returning Cajun outfielders.
The Cajuns signed two high school and one junior college outfielder for the 2012 season.
