Making an all-district team means you had a fantastic year, but making an all-state team proves your elite status as one of the best players around.

The Acadiana area released their all-district teams recently, and countless players got recognition for their hard work and devotion to the game. Now, the all-state teams are starting to roll out in Louisiana, shining the spotlight on some very special individuals who made their cities and families proud.

Four players from the Acadiana area made their way onto the Class 1A All-State team. Members of the Louisiana Sports Writers Association chose Ascension Episcopal Wide Receiver Ronald Leblanc, Central Catholic's do-it-all man Samarick Paul, and two of Paul's teammates from Central Catholic, offensive lineman Thomas Garber and defensive back Ja'len Johnson, for spots on a the all-state team.

Leblanc is a 6'5" monster at wide receiver, Paul is a multiple-sport star for Central Catholic who played all over the field, Garber was a bulldozer in the trenches and Johnson is on his way to play for the Ragin' Cajuns. They all earned their spot in the All-State team, and there's no doubt the future is bright for all four of them.

Congratulations to all the players who made this year's Class 1A All-State team.
