How many former Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns will have the opportunity to face their former teammates on the softball diamond this season?

The answer is three.

Former UL players Caitlin Garcia, Cori McCrary, and Kynadi Tipler will all have a chance to square off against their former team, after transferring to their current schools.

Garcia, who was the opening-game catcher for the Cajuns last season, transferred to Nicholls, who will host Louisiana on Wednesday, March 13 in Thibodaux.

Garcia, who collected 2 hits in 26 at-bats in a Louisiana uniform last season, is currently hitting a .133, to go along with 2 homers and 4 RBI's in the early part of the 2019 season with Nicholls.

McCrary, who redshirted at UL season, her only season with the program, transferred to McNeese, who the Cajuns play twice in 2019, at home on Wednesday March 20, and on the road on Wednesday, April 3.

An infielder who hit a .396 at Jones County Junior College in 2017, McCrary is hitting a .250 with 5 runs batted in this season with the Cowgirls.

Tipler, who saw some time at the designated player spot for Louisiana last season, transferred to Campbell, who the Cajuns will face on Monday, April 15 in Buies Creek, North Carolina.

Tipler, who hit a .278 with 4 RBI's in 36 at-bats for UL last season, has collected 2 hits in 12 at-bats for Campbell over 5 games so far this season.
