A former Louisiana Ragin' Cajun softball pitcher is heading to the place that Dorothy loved so much.


A native of Bastrop, Texas, Carpenter appeared in only one game last season, allowing two runs over 1.2 innings of work, after redshirting during the 2017 campaign.

She'll have three seasons of eligibility remaining at Kansas.

Before arriving at UL, recorded 329 strikeouts, while posting a 1.04 ERA during her senior season at Cedar Creek High School.
