A former Louisiana Ragin' Cajun baseball player is turning some heads in the professional ranks.

Outfielder Steven Sensley, who played for Louisiana for two years, from 2016-2017, is off to a good start with the New York Yankees.

In 2018, his first full professional season, Sensley, a native of Baton Rouge, belted 17 home runs at two different Class A levels.

In 2017, his final season with the Cajuns, Sensley hit a .314, to go along with 11 homers and 46 runs batted in.
