Garrett Hartley, who kicked the field goal that sent the New Orleans Saints to the Super Bowl, has been signed by the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Hartley's time with the Saints ended, however, when he became inconsistent on his attempts.  He was released by the Saints and then signed with Cleveland for the final two games of the 2014 season.

The Steelers were in the market for a kicker after Shaun Suisham tore his ACL on a kickoff in the Hall of Fame game.  He is likely to be placed on injured reserve.

Hartley has made just under 82% of his field goal attempts in his NFL career.
