Former New Orleans Saints guard Chris Naeole will be inducted into the Polynesian Hall of Fame in January.

Naeole, a native of Hawaii, was a first round pick of the Saints (10th overall) out of Colorado in the 1997 draft.

Other than missing 4 games his rookie year due to a knee injury, Naeole started every other game during his 5 year stint in New Orleans.

He signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2002 before retiring from the NFL in 2009.

Naeole has served as the offensive line coach for the University of Hawaii since 2013. In 2015, he was interim coach for the final 4 games of the season after Norm Chow was let go.

The Polynesian Football Hall of Fame was born 3 years ago. It's a non-profit organization which honors Polynesia's greatest coachs, players and contributors.
