Former Rams RB Marshall Faulk Says, “‘I’ll never be over being cheated out of Super Bowl” By The Patriots

Hall of Fame running back Marshall Faulk still feels cheated 11 years later. Can you blame him? After all, the Patriots had video of Rams’ coaches sending in defensive signals and allegedly taped the Rams’ walkthrough prior to Super Bowl XXXVI. The Patriots, 14 point underdogs, went on to defeat the Rams¬†20-17 in one of the more entertaining Supe Bowls ever played.

Yesterday, Faulk told csnne.com, a website that covers the Patriots, that he will never feel like he wasn’t cheated out of a second Super Bowl ring.

¬†”Am I over the loss? Yeah, I’m over the loss. But I’ll never be over being cheated out of the Super Bowl. That’s a different story. I can understand losing a Super Bowl, that’s fine . . . But how things happened and what took place. Obviously, the commissioner gets to handle things how he wants to handle them but if they wanted us to shut up about what happened, show us the tapes. Don’t burn ‘em.”

Faulk Still Feels Cheated

It’s good to see Faulk still speaking his mind. Why would Roger Goodell destroy the tapes? Faulk went on to explain that his Rams’ ran red-zone plays they hadn’t run all season, and yet the Patriots were checking in and out of their plays the entire game.

Faulk should blame someone else for the loss too. His coach at the time, Mike Martz, got away from getting Faulk the ball in the second half, continuing to force the pass, despite Faulk’s effectiveness in the run game.
