Former Louisiana Ragin' Cajun tight end LaDarius Green was released by the Pittsburgh Steelers today after he failed his physical.

Green, nicknamed "Pee Wee", signed a 4 year deal worth up to $20 million last offseason. He received $6 million before being cut.

Green missed the first half of last season with an injured ankle, and the final five games with a concussion.

He suffered concussion symptoms during his first 4 seasons with the San Diego Chargers.

As an athletic, pass-catching tight end, Green has good value when healthy.

Time will tell if the failed physical designation hurts his chances of catching on with another club.

First and foremost, we hope Pee-Wee gets healthy soon and doesn't experience any long-term effects from his concussions.
