Former LSU baseball coach and athletic director Skip Bertman received a scare last weekend when he encountered burglars in his home.

According to a WAFB report, the 75 year old Bertman fought off a perpetrator, but not before they made off with Bertman's 21 championships rings (conference, national).

Earlier today, Baton Rouge police arrested 3 teenagers (one 18 year old, two 16 year olds) in connection with the home invasion, and according to Jim Kleinpeter of nola.com, all of Bertman's championship rings have been recovered.

Collectively, the rings were valued at over $8,000.

Bertman coached LSU's baseball team from 1983 to 2001, capturing 7 SEC championships, and 5 national championships.

He served as LSU's athletic director from 2002 to 2008.
