Former Louisiana Ragin' Cajun righthander Zach Osborne has been promoted to the Texas Rangers High-A affiliate in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

The Houston native was pitching for Hickory in the South Atlantic League.  Osborne pitched in eight games for the Crawdads, all in relief.  He was 1-0 with an ERA of 1.26.

In 14.1 innings with Hickory, Osborne allowed two earned runs on nine hits.  He walked two and struck out 18.

Osborne was an all-Sun Belt Selection his senior season with the Cajuns and was selected by the Rangers in the 2010 amateur draft.
