Former Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns pitcher Evan Guillory has been named Pitcher of the Week in the Appalachian League after an outstanding start.

Pitching for the Johnson City Cardinals, Guillory threw seven shutout innings last week against Kingsport, allowing just two hits with one walk and eight strikeouts in seven innings of work.

Guillory has been dominant since being moved into the starting rotation, with a 2-1 record...but he has yet to allow an earned run in 17 innings as a starter.  He has struck out 20 in those three starts.

For the season, Guillory is now 2-1 with a 2.87 ERA.
