Defending national champion Florida tops the D1 Preseason College Baseball Poll, released today by the prestigious college site.

Oregon State was second, followed by Texas Tech, Arkansas and Florida State.

LSU was voted as the 16th best team, but only the eighth best in the SEC.

One Sun Belt school, South Alabama, made the poll at #20.

The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns were not in the top 25, but they'll have plenty of chances to work their way in with one of their toughest schedules ever.

The Cajuns will play #8 Kentucky, #12 Mississippi State and #14 Vanderbilt in the Shriners College Classic in Houston, entertain South Alabama in a non conference series and open the season with three games at #21 Texas.  The Cajuns and #16 LSU will meet twice during the regular season, once at M. L "Tigue" Moore Field at Russo Park and once at the Shrine on Airline in the annual Wally Pontiff Classic.

The SEC led all conferences with eight in the Top 25.  The ACC had five, the Big 12 four and the Pac-12 3.  The Big West, Missouri Valley, Sun Belt, Big Ten and American Conferences had one team each.

The Cajuns open the season at Texas on February 16th.
