Florida Likely To Be Without Leading Receiver Against LSU

The Florida Gators will likely be without another key member of their banged-up offense on Saturday afternoon, when they play host to the LSU Tigers in a pivotal SEC contest.

Florida head coach Jim McElwain said on Monday that the Gators' leading receiver, Tyrie Cleveland, was in a boot, after suffering a high ankle sprain in their 38-24 win over Vanderbilt last Saturday.

While he hasn't been ruled out, it seems like the odds may be against Cleveland playing. Even if he does, he certainly won't be 100%.

A 6-foot-3, 190-pound sophomore, Cleveland has compiled 15 catches for 326 yards and two touchdowns, including a 63-yard touchdown grab as time expired to beat Tennessee earlier this year.

Florida will also be without the services of Luke Del Rio, their projected starting quarterback, after he suffered a broken collarbone in the win over Vanderbilt.

Offensively, Florida ranks 10th among the 14 teams in the SEC, averaging 358.5 yards-per-game.
