There's only one game this week featuring two ranked teams.  And, the real fun starts next week and will go throughout the month of November.  But an undefeated is on the road, two teams fighting for a division title are meeting, and don't look now, but there's been a pirate sighting.......

THURSDAY

NORTH CAROLINA (6-1, 3-0) at (23) PITTSBURGH (6-1 4-0) (+3)--6pm ESPN3 --This division of the ACC doesn't get much ink, since Clemson and Florida State are on the other side.  But these two, along with Duke, are all unbeaten in the Coastal Division.  North Carolina can score.  Pittsburgh is pretty good defensively, and the Panthers' only loss was by a field goal to Iowa...who is still undefeated.  Pitt will try to win as an underdog for the third time this season.

SATURDAY

GEORGIA (5-2, 3-2) vs. (11) FLORIDA (6-1, 4-1) (-3)  2:30 CBS--With Nick Chubb out, Georgia has had a serious blow to its hopes for a championship.  But before you write them off, they can take control of the SEC East if they can knock off the Gators.  It's a tall task, to be sure...but with Auburn and Kentucky left on their schedule after this one, the Bulldogs will have a legitimate shot if they pull the upset.  The line is only three.  Does Vegas know something we don't?

(12) OKLAHOMA STATE (7-0, 4-0) at TEXAS TECH (5-3, 2-3) (+3) 2:30 ABC/ESPN -- The Cowboys just keep rolling along and, while Baylor and TCU get all the pub, OSU just keeps winning.  November will be daunting, but the Cowboys get the aforementioned, plus Oklahoma, at home.   The Horned Frogs are next week.  Beware the trap game, OSU.  It's not easy to win on the Caprock.

(9) NOTRE DAME (6-1) at (21) TEMPLE (7-0)(+11) --7pm ABC--It wasn't that long ago that the Owls were kicked out of the Big East for a lack of competitiveness.  Now they are hosting ranked team while being ranked themselves for the first time ever.  Temple had nineteen straight losing seasons before Al Golden turned them around.  Now, while Golden is looking for work, Temple is hosting the Irish.  ESPN Gameday is there this week.  At TEMPLE, for crying out loud.  The Worldwide Leader obviously gives a hoot.

(8) STANFORD (6-1, 5-0) at WASHINGTON STATE (5-2, 3-1) (+10), 9:30, ESPN--Yeah, I know, the Cougars lost to Portland State.  But Washington State has turned some heads and raised some eyebrows in the last few weeks, sweeping the state of Oregon and winning at Arizona.  Stanford still has its sights on the College Football Playoff and they'll be motivated.  But strange things happen in Pullman...especially when a pirate is in charge.
