The season is over, but the accolades continue for Ragin' Cajun Baseball. Five Cajuns find themselves on an ABCA/Rawlings All-Region team.

When putting together the South Central Region, consisting of teams from Conference USA, the American Conference, Sun Belt, Southland and SWAC, the American Baseball Coaches Association decided to slot five members of Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns. Blake Trahan, Stefan Trosclair and freshman Gunner Leger found themselves on first team, while Kyle Clement and Dylan Moore collected second team honors.

Leger can add that accolade next to First Team Freshman All-American, and a ton of other praise. Stefan Trosclair will return to the Cajuns next year as one of the offensive engines and senior leaders, while Blake Trahan got drafted by the Cincinnati Reds.

Kyle Clement really came on toward the end of the season, and he capped it off with two spectacular, back-to-back, diving catches in the Baton Rouge Super Regional to get him on Sportscenter's Top 10. Dylan Moore earned the role as a closer and set the single season record as a freshman.

Certainly, all these men earned their spots on this prestigious grouping. We all learned something about these "Water Hose Boys" though. Trophies are nice, but they don't need shiny things. Just give them a ball and let them out on the field. That's all they want.
