First Basket In NBA History, Oh How Things Have Changed [Video]

Benjamin "Ossie" Schectman passed away today at the age of 94. Who is Ossie Schectman? He scored the first ever basket in the history of the NBA. A video of the basket is below. Oh how the game has changed...though Madison Square Garden looks the same.

Schectman was a member of the Knicks, who defeated the Toronto Huskies in the inaugural game of the Basketball Association of America (eventually known as the NBA).
