Roger Federer has made tennis history more than once during his illustrious career. Yesterday at the French Open, he set yet another Grand Slam record. Here is more from the AP and espn.com.

Federer extended his quarterfinal streak at major tournaments to 28 with a 6-3, 6-2, 7-5 victory over Olympic gold medal doubles partner Stanislas Wawrinka.

"Twenty-eight quarterfinals in a row, that's great," Federer said. "But that's another opportunity for me to go one step further."

Federer Sets Another Mark

Roger's new mark is a nice story, but it's still overshadowed by a bigger story at the French Open...Novak Djokovic's winning streak. Novak kept his perfect season in tact yesterday with a straight sets victory over #13 Richard Gasquet of France.

Djokovic commented after the match that he's playing the best tennis of his life. No joke Djokovic. A man who is known as a regular joker is no joke on the clay this season.

Federer and Djokovic could meet up in the semifinals.
