Officials at Entergy-New Orleans are taking the blame for the power outage that caused a 34-minute delay in Super Bowl XLVII.

The power company said the cause was a faulty device that had been installed to prevent a failure of electric cables.

According to the company, that device was not a problem during the Sugar Bowl.
