FAU Completes Sweep Of UL Softball

The FAU Owls completed a three-game, weekend, Sun Belt Conference sweep of the UL softball team, defeating the Cajuns, 6-2, in Boca Raton, Florida, on Sunday. Ragincajuns.com has the story, below.

The 17^th ranked Ragin' Cajuns were unable to avoid the sweep as they fell to Florida Atlantic by a score of 6-2 on Sunday afternoon in Boca Raton, Fla.

Ashley Brignac (23-5) threw five innings for the Cajuns, giving up six runs, five earned, on six hits with three walks.  Christina Hamilton came on to pitch a final scoreless inning.

The Cajuns would jump out to an early lead as Nerissa Myers singled up the middle on the first pitch of the game.  Christi Orgeron then hit Rose Gressley's second pitch down the left field line for an RBI double to score Myers from first.
