The FAU Owls wrapped-up a three-game, weekend, Sun Belt Conference sweep of Louisiana's Ragin' Cajun baseball on Sunday, in Boca Raton, Florida, winning Saturday's suspended game by the final score of 5-2, before winning the regularly scheduled math-up, 8-3.

In the completion of Saturday's game, the Owls scored four runs in the bottom half of the seventh inning, to capture the come-from-behind 5-2 win.

Jake Meiers (2-3) got the win for FAU, with R.J. Alvarez recording his fourth save, while freshman Cord Cockrell (1-2) suffered the loss for Louisiana.

In the regularly schedule Sunday contest, FAU scored four runs in the first two innings and never looked back, handing UL their sixth-consecutive loss in the 8-3 win.

Austin Gomber (3-1) picked up the win for FAU, while Derek Howell (1-1) suffered the loss for the Cajuns.

With the wins, FAU improved to 19-10 overall, and 8-1 in Sun Belt Conference play, while Louisiana fell to 13-14 overall, and 3-6 in league play.

The Cajuns return to action on Tuesday night, when they host the Southeastern Louisiana Lions at M.L. "Tigue" Moore Field.
