Atlanta Falcons All-Pro wide receiver Julio Jones took a hard fall on the water of Lake Lanier when he was jet skiing, losing something valuable in the process.

A $150,000 diamond earring sunk to the depths of Lake Lanier, located north of Atlanta. With depths that reach up to 156 feet, the treasure may be sunk forever.

While it may not be as bad as blowing a 25 point lead in the Super Bowl, a $150,000 in sunken costs is never easy to walk away from.

WXIA-TV broke the story of Jones' attempt to recover the earring when he hired local divers to search for the earring.

I wonder how much a Falcons Super Bowl ring would've been worth? If not for blowing a 25 point lead, Jones may have lost more jewelry than just an earring.
