Things have gone from bad to worse for the 1-4 Atlanta Falcons.

FOX Sports NFL insider Jay Glazer is reporting that Atlanta All-Pro wide receiver Julio Jones suffered a serious foot injury last night in a loss to the New York Jets.

The Falcons entered the 2013 season with Super Bowl aspirations, having gone 13-3 in 2012, reaching the NFC Championship game.

After opening the season with a loss on the road to the rival New Orleans Saints, Atlanta has only mustered 1 win over the St. Louis Rams 5 weeks into the season.

Falcons running back Steven Jackson has missed the last 3 weeks with a hamstring injury, while Pro Bowl wide receiver Roddy White has been slowed by a lingering hamstring injury as well.
